Double Oven Mitt

I made this Double Oven Mitt for my niece who is starting to collect for her glory box. I have used one layer of insulbrite inside and bound it with 25mm ready made bias binding.

It feels a little flimsy, it may need an extra layer of batting to beef it up?

Blanket Binding - Baby Blanket

I used this http://sew4home.com/tips-resources/sewing-tips-tricks/470-how-to-make-faux-mitered-corners tutorial on how to make mitred corners.

Main mistake i made was to start at a corner, whereas I should have started in the middle of an edge (as the tutorial tells you to do).

I also used a sewing glue stick to gently stick the material to the binding ribbon to hold it steady.

Using the walking foot made it a lot easier than i thought it would be.
