Demi Drape Top - StyleArc
Pattern Description: Cowl neck top with build-in cami
Pattern Sizing: SIZES: 6 - 8 - 10 - 12 - 14 - 16 - 18 - 20 - 22 - 24 - 26 - 28 - 30 (mine is a 14) - NB you choose one size and receive that size only, so choose carefully
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, I think so
Were the instructions easy to follow? Style Arc does not really have instructions, they have a construction order. So I have to still say no, the instructions are not easy to follow. As a beginner this is frustrating, but then it makes me think, makes me research, and eventually I work it out But to anyone other than a beginner, the lack of instructions would not be a problem, especially with a simple knit like this one.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the fit, I love the Seam notches, no measuring required, just sew where the notch tells you to.
The pattern is on strong paper, not tissue. Some people like that the patterns on whole pieces, not on the fold, I actually prefer a fold, so that is easily fixed, I just fold it
It looks RTW, and feels RTW if that makes sense, I just put it on and forgot about it, whereas other things I have made, I am constantly fiddling with.
Fabric Used: Wool Jersey from the Fabric Cave Sydney - I got a bargain, 5 metres for $15. So I am using it for test pieces, but this one worked out and I can wear it.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None - although next time, I will shorten the sleeve length. Next time I am going to make the cami slightly higher, shows a bit too much for me.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes and Yes, I will make it next with nicer fabric and will make the cami constrasting.
